Head Coach

I graduated college with a degree in elementary education, and I became a first-grade teacher. However, fitness was always a passion of mine, so I began personal training clients and training for my first figure competition during the summers. I was balancing my love for fitness with my career as a teacher. I soon realized training was the best of both worlds. I could share my passion for teaching and educating and challenge and push my clients to become the best they could be. So I started my company, v2 Fitness, and began coaching full time for the past thirteen years. I can honestly say that this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I am a busy mom of three, a 4-year-old boy, and two 7-year-old girls. I always want to be a positive and strong role model for my children, and I want them to see you can choose to love what you do for a living. I earned my Figure pro card in 2018 and will continue to compete. Though I am very satisfied with living vicariously through the competitors I work with, I am taking a break from the stage.

I am very fortunate to live my passion daily and work with others to achieve their many goals. To me, the process requires a real connection between client and trainer. The whole person physically and mentally needs to be considered when planning out nutrition, workouts, lifestyle. I am a huge believer in communication to provide the appropriate support for each client. I don’t sugarcoat things, but at the same time, I help my clients believe in themselves so they can feel confident working through obstacles and stay consistent.

I always advocate consistency. I encourage my clients to keep going even if they don’t feel like it. Keep going even if there’s no weight change. Keep going even if you fall off plan for a day. Remember, It’s important to celebrate the small victories such as going to the gym when you don’t feel like it, or getting your meal in when you are pressed for time. Just trust the process and be patient. Fitness requires time and commitment, but the reward is improved health and mental and physical strength. I constantly strive to help and support my clients to achieve this and embrace fitness as a lifestyle.
